The Bio

  Clay DuBose

In the City of Angels it is easy to get lost or over looked, but then it’s hard to overlook a shooting star. They have a way of exploding without warning, something singer/songwriter Clay DuBose is known for. He’s been winning fans all over the world with his refreshing blend of country, rock and blues for a few years now.

Many have tried to compare him to George Strait, Dwight Yoakum and some to even Elvis. Yet, every time they think they have a handle on him he changes strings, holding true to his nickname “The Texas Chameleon” for his ability to make believers across the musical spectrum by taking everyone on another beautiful ride.

In 2006 he received the “Rising Star” award by the Texas Music Awards and the Academy of Texas Music. His first album "Rewriting History" includes an explosive cover of The Doors "Love Me Two Times" which was added to 33 play lists internationally when released.

Like the basics of love his current release "These Days" brings us back to the basics of music. It is a rocking country album with some good old fashioned Texas swing and honky tonk. It reached #6 on Radio & Record's Americana Chart, at the time being the highest position ever achieved by an Indie artist. It made the “Top 40” albums of the year on the AMA/R&R Americana AirPlay Chart and is a musical journey featuring guest appearances by Garth Hudson, The Derailers, Rami Jaffee of The Wallflowers, Augie Meyers, Will Ray and many others.

We just simply call it Clay Country.
